The objective is to create a multimedia center to train artists capable of exploiting new multimedia technologies in contemporary visual communication. This project aims to integrate these technologies with traditional techniques, allowing expressive and communicative forms that harmonize with the rich local artistic heritage. The conscious training of the artists is aimed at a creative and innovative application, ensuring a harmonious synergy between technological innovation and artistic tradition.

Description

The monumental complex of San Giovanni, financed through the Integrated Sustainable Cities Programs (Pics), is transformed into a Cultural Center of international importance. The delegation of experts responsible for the creation of the Southern Contemporary Ceramics Museum (MCCM), led by architect Diego Granese and professor Bignardi, has begun inspections to create a cultural structure that promotes the ceramic tradition of Cava de'Tirreni and the local companies.

The MCCM aspires to dialogue with productive realities at a regional, national and international level, becoming the first interregional Fund in the southern area. The museum intends to document and promote ceramic production of contemporary art and industrial design, contributing to the regeneration of the millenary tradition. The aim is to recognize the identity of southern ceramics and encourage synergy with the world of industrial design production.

At the same time, the San Giovanni complex hosts the completion of the "Luca Barba" Municipal Theater and other cultural initiatives, such as the Museum dedicated to Mamma Lucia and the Museum of Southern Lombardy. These initiatives run alongside the Sala della Pergamena Bianca, and the tender for the School of Multidisciplinary Art (SGAM) will soon be launched.

The ambitious project of the San Giovanni complex also extends to artistic training, with the idea of creating a multimedia center that guides artists in the conscious use of new multimedia technologies, integrating them with traditional techniques and promoting expressive forms that harmonize with the local artistic heritage.
