Villa Rende, one of the oldest buildings in Cava de' Tirreni, symbolizes the intertwining of innovation and tradition. The community aims to promote innovative growth by enhancing its roots and promoting strategic partnerships with local universities.
Description
The project for Villa Rende in Cava de' Tirreni has changed, going from a destination as a house of music to becoming the home of a robotic experimentation project.
However, the necessary works are still pending, and to avoid the risk of a deserted tender, the municipal offices are evaluating a negotiated procedure through the Single Procurement Center with the municipalities of Castellabate and Roccapiemonte to exploit the funding of the "Piu Europa" program , which amount to approximately 1 million and 520 thousand euros. In 2015, the Villa Rende restoration project was blocked due to an anti-mafia ban against the contracting company.
Mayor Vincenzo Servalli underlines the importance of collaboration with private investors and university spin-offs to ensure the success of the innovation and robotics project. The choice to identify the economic operator from an already available list aims to quickly complete the redevelopment of Villa Rende, transforming it into an innovative centre.
