Thanks to the funds of the Integrated Sustainable City Programme, the restyling and expansion of the "Luca Barba" Theater has been completed in Cava de' Tirreni, dedicated to the creator of the historic Trombonieri Challenge. The investment of around 200 thousand euros allowed the construction of a new stage with lights and backdrops, the setting up of dressing rooms, the creation of a foyer and the installation of 100 new seats for as many spectators. This intervention contributes to preserving and enhancing the memory of the late Luca Barba, a prominent figure in the Cavese tradition.
Description
The primary objective was to transform the theater room into a multi-purpose space of great impact, rich in symbolism and communication. The hall, conceived as a place suitable not only for traditional performances such as theatrical performances, ballets and concerts, but also for hosting different types of meetings such as congresses, meetings and conferences. The intervention focused on strengthening the equipment necessary to make the theater room a contemporary environment, capable of hosting a vast range of activities, going beyond the theater setting alone.
In the context of the Integrated Sustainable City Programme, in Cava de' Tirreni, one of the financed interventions concerns the "Luca Barba" Theatre, dedicated to the memory of the creator of the Trombonieri Challenge and a leading figure of the Cava tradition. The funds from the program made it possible to complete the restyling of the premises on Corso Umberto and to equip the space with new structures and equipment. The investment of around 200 thousand euros allowed the construction of a new stage with lights, control room and backdrops, the preparation of dressing rooms, the creation of a foyer and the installation of at least 100 new seats for as many spectators. This intervention contributes not only to the recovery of cultural heritage, but also to transform the theater into a dynamic and versatile center, ready to welcome different artistic expressions and activities in the community.
