The redevelopment work of the degraded area, previously occupied for over 40 years by a container field, is an ambitious project that radically transforms the space. The cleanup eliminated tons of asbestos, making the area safe and more welcoming. The deputy mayor, Nunzio Senatore, highlights that the intervention will significantly improve traffic, with the addition of a new road long awaited by residents.

Furthermore, the project includes the creation of a modern car park connected to the sports area, which includes the football field and the Pala Eventi. The completion of the Pala Eventi is part of a larger project, with a loan of 6.8 million euros nominated for funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

The National Consortium of Production and Work Ciro Menotti Scpa of Ravenna won the contract for the total amount of 1,971,412.14 euros. The new road will connect via Luigi Ferrara to via Arti e Mestieri, also including the construction of a roundabout at the intersection. The large car park, with a capacity of approximately 250 seats and the possibility of hosting Gran Turismo buses, will serve both the Pala Eventi and the Pregiato sports field. The intervention not only improves accessibility and safety, but also contributes to enhancing the entire area, promoting the well-being and liveliness of the local community.
