The structure houses the symbolic objects of the life of the ancestors, including the working of the rope with the wheel, the 'a vrasera to keep warm, the clothes dryer, the 'u valillo for beating wheat or wool, the rinalo in the bedroom, the room of games and that for women's jobs.
Description
Founded in 1997 by Ciro Mannara, Filippo Gigantino and Franco Lodato, under the guidance of the parish priest Don Beniamino D'Arco, the Museo Arti Mestieri Civiltà Contadina has been progressively enriched thanks to the meticulous research of agricultural equipment, tools of ancient trades and objects of daily use. These finds, restored, analyzed and exhibited over time, offer a fascinating journey through remote eras, revealing historical connections, disappeared traditions and centuries-old processing systems. The new headquarters in the pastoral center of the Parish of Santa Lucia, inaugurated on November 14, 2021, hosts this rich collection.
The Museum has become an integral part of the "Walking the Landscape" project, which organized an event on January 29. The day involved the participants in a walk with theatrical moments, including the reading of a diary from 1796 by the actress Carla Russo and the representation of a typical 19th century Lucian morning by the "Fuori Tempo-Teatro Luca" association Barba" by Geltrude Barba. The event ended with the re-enactment of the "Battle of Santa Lucia" of 1799, involving the folklore groups of the tromboneers of Sant'Anna and Sant'Anna all'Oliveto. The Museum not only preserves historical heritage, but also helps to make the community's memory alive and accessible, promoting historical and cultural awareness for the future.
