The "VIA REGIA de LA CAVA"

This evening the project presentation meeting will be held at the Convent of San Giovanni.

The Via Regia de La Cava is a path conceived and designed according to the criteria of universal accessibility, with the desire, that is, to guarantee over time to all people, whatever their condition, equal access to places, infrastructures, services , information.

Seizing the opportunity created by the Jubilee year, the Archdiocese of Amalfi–Cava de' Tirreni, the Benedictine Abbey of the SS. Trinità, the diocesan Caritas Amalfi - Cava, the Archeoclub La Cava Association, third sector bodies and business associations asked themselves how to make the right to beauty effectively accessible to all.

The result is the proposal of this path which winds along the route of the Strada Regia delle Calabrie, of Bourbon origin, which insists on the ancient Capua-Regium, crossing the suggestive porticoed center of Cava de' Tirreni, rich in historic buildings and places of cult. From here other routes lead to sites of great cultural, landscape and religious value present in the municipal area to be discovered together with pilgrims, tourists or simply curious people who want to share the desire to look at people, situations and contexts with new eyes.
